Hey everyone! So today, February 2nd, 2015, marks the 3 year anniversary of Raw & Instant! It's crazy how fast time flies, it really does not feel like I have been doing this for 3 years haha. Anyways, this is still just the beginning! I truly feel like I have grown over the years since I first started. I learned a lot of new things, got a lot of new (old) gear, learned how to pay closer attention to things, and met a lot of new faces. But there is so much more to discover and learn, so I'm not stopping here. Raw & Instant is my dedication, since its inception, and I don't intend to slow down.
To be honest, it is very hard on me to continue doing this, specifically financially, but I still do it anyway. Shooting exclusively with instant film, is not very easy on my wallet. And due to that, I can't shoot very much throughout the year, even though I strive to and I have the talent lined up and waiting for their opportunities to work together. And that is the only downside to this operation. But that doesn't bring me down at all. Money should not be an issue if it is being used by anyone who loves what they are doing. That free t-shirt giveaway the other day? That cost me about $300 out of my own pocket, just to show the love and appreciation I have towards you guys, the people who support me, my work, and what I am doing as a whole. Bottom line is, as long as I get to shoot, no matter how long it takes or how much film I use up, I'm a happy person. No matter how many free shirts I gave away, I wouldn't have cared if it cost me a penny more, because I know that it was all for good reason.
So I just want to say thanks guys. Thank you for being there for me. Doesn't matter if you have been there with me from the start, from the middle, or you have just recently discovered my work, I appreciate you all equally. To all my models, thank you for giving me a chance to show you in the raw, and thank you more for stepping up to that challenge. Raw & Instant will continue to serve as my outlet to exhibit pure, raw female beauty in its most realistic photographic form possible.
